'tis a doddle. a hole in 1 gimme.

place your ball top left of the mat. angle it so the ball's bouncing off the wall directly above the hole, and with the strength bar reaching the same point. click. in. (the ball should curl up around the hole, and drop ever so sweetly in on the way back down).

Indeed, every hole has the hole-in-1 on the cards. The trick is finding out just where the crazy angle is on some of them. you got 15 sussed, eh dust? is that the long two channel one with the wee up/down at the far right? what's the trick?

i reckon 4 and 17 are the most random. the 4th i'm still working on but its quite similar to 17.

the 17th place very top left of matt. take club as far back up to top right of browser window as possible - let rip. pretty random but with little tweaks on the aim you get it close if not in about 75% of the time.

the 6th: ball bottom left of matt. aim last dot on right hand corner of narrow bit, but about a ball wdith away from corner. thats all.

11th. forget the angled corners and narrow channel. place ball top right of matt. aim last dot just above end of the wall that forms the narrow channel (floating middle of green by itself). preferably position the last dot about a ball width to the right of the wall. now click.

bubble bobble rocks the house. Me and my brother would play it for hours on end with a limited supply of coins -- so there was much chastising of the opposite sibling whenever one of us died. fantastic stuff.

I was well into multiplayer games: double dragon, gauntlet, trogg. Good ol' MAME, bringing all these games back to life.

The quest games were pretty cool - I beat Space Quest 1 in a day then spent 3 months trying to get anywhere in Space Quest II*

I've never seen the fascination in Bubble Bobble. Anyone remember Summer Games on the C64? Or Elite? Now that's a game.

*The trick is to rub the sour berries on your body so that the swamp monster spits you out when he eats you - excellent Empire Strikes Back Reference.

YES! golden axe! I had that on sega. Oh and of course Alex the Kid! mad...i always used to die in the water part! ....Does anyone remember Comander Keen? Or Alley cats?

Bubble Bobble has some of the trippiest graphics too....and the characters are so evil...yet...cute.
Oh for some reason i only ever played bubble bobble with my older sister's friend...he is really nice, quiet polite et usually but the game makes everyone crazy....if i pop the bubble he wanted he would start screaming "ARRGGHHHH! BITCH!".

Elite! Now there was a game! Couldn't be bothered with all that docking malarkey though, thank god for the cheat mode.

Ahhh, the 48k speccy -- an awesome piece of plastic which spawned some of the greatest games (before my current MAME phase, I went through a big speccy emulator addiction).

and yes, Manic Miner was mind-blowing when it came out. The problem with Jet Set Willy was that it was impossible to finish without actually hacking it (ahh, the old 'poke' command), but was still good fun.

As for you C64 losers, get a real computer...

hmmm which brings me to the subject of emulators. a few years ago i discovered the coolest thing in the world, a sega emulator called genecyst which allowed me to play mega drive games on my cpu.

mmm im getting a hankering just talking about it.....

i would really like to find an amiga one. do any of you computer geeks out there (meant in the nicest possible way) know any good emulation sites? preferably with plenty of games. i used to use emux.com but it seems to have disappeared.

na joe it's a 2000, and needs a monitor and I have been told (but would like to check ..... so asking now) that the monitor is spasific to the machine and it can only be replaced by the real deal, and yeah an emulater might be a good idea, but it would mean I would have to share my machine, and I do that enough as it is.....

amiga 500's are the ONLY real computer.
