well it's a combination of subjectivity, past experience, word of mouth, and geography. All international gigs (kiwis playing overseas) go on the homepage. The other homepage gigs are selected by our editors as best of the bunch for that week.
why is it that international gigs go out on the front page by default, given that membership would (most probably.....?) be predominantly new zealanders living in this fair country?
is it to support the efforts of internationally touring new zealanders?
As an NZer based in London, I really appreciate it - it's hard to find out about this stuff. It's great that there's a single place which has all NZ acts listed.
