i know invercargill is frozen (grandparent slive their) but come up the hutt valley today - theirs snow on mt Climie and its like living in a freezer. so much for the 30c days we get in summer.

i love winter!

I love a European winter, well the end of it.
yesterday in Wellington was almost perfect just chuck the degrees down to oh say -4.

Yesterday here was perfection, I drove into the city for work
on my right, the tide in, the Haven a sliver sheet of stillness, held in place by the strong black line of the boulder bank, beyond that, rising from the deep teal blue of Tasman Bay were the Mountains cover with snow half way to the water line....

The weather in dunedin is Fucked up!!! I went there in summer, the sun was cranking, nothing but blue sky, BUT the wind was some of the most freezing shit i have ever experienced. It comes hauling down the main drag and hits you like a frieght train.
It's easy to play spot the Aucklander down there i tell ya, i was the one wearing jeans and a big jacket on St Clair's beach, when everone else had t-shirts on. I swear i must be one of the only people ever to be freezing cold and get sunburnt at the same time.

i think maybe the reason that kiwis talk alot about the weather, is that its SO changeable around here! in germany, if its winter, its cold. if its summer, then its hot. its not like "heeey... its winter but its hot outside! no wait... now its freezing!... oh okay, now its hot again!" :P

Yes, I fully recommend the cinnimon thing, I really feel it has slowed my cold. I haven't had a sore throat & the blocked nose is going, fast.
