Well I have just got of the phone from a 30 minute survey about new Zealand on air
one of the questions I was asked was what television programme would I like to see receive funding.........no there wasn't a question about what groups.
I said I would like to see funding for more music docos, and live music.......... how cool would it be for the rest of the country to see a 2 hour show of the true colours gig ........ not like squeeze did of the big day out cut with interviews and little snippets of the music but a full live concert........(I'm still wishing for true colours to do a full nation tour..... but even if that happened seeing on the telly a few months later to help relive it would be good too)
Live music is definatly what i want to see. Juice is showing a few bands live at the moment. I thought the whole idea of Ground Zero was quite cool, using a band practise room as the studio with the hosts on a platform in the ceiling above. The problem with that show was they had the hosts as the main source of entertainment. If they had have had bands playing more than the hosts talking, the show would have worked out.
that was a great thing about G-Zero - the gig atmosphere. it would be great to have some regional news, perhaps a touring psuedo Havoc/Newsboy affair where they tour the regions and watch a few gigs - it's just that we hear so much about Auckland ... there's some really amazing grassroots activity out there, especially when software/recording equipment is now easier and a lot cheaper for people to own ...
let's subvert the marketers! though i don't think TV would get a lot of support for doing that ... but yeah, that's what i'd definitely tune in to watch. sometimes Squeeze almost gets there ...
space nearly did it ......... well for two weeks at the begining of this year.
I was thinking about all the live out takes from space they are playing as part of Music month, along with the good Morning show ones....... they have had some interesting people playing but I have only seen a couple of them.......... I would really like to see them all in one place at one time
more Metal TV Shows, Mulch seems to be the only one at the moment and its on when im tucked away fast asleep recovering from a night of industrial grade herbs and/or a 6 pack of 500ml DB.

oh and how about cutting back on stoopid pop from juice and replacing it with more rock - the way it was back in the wonderful summer of 94/95

i really want havoc and newsboy series back on! they rock, i like how they go around the country. and my fave part was the motel thing.
