and was involved with live sound when I saw him last
There was some talk of getting the band back together
but could have been the beer......
the orginal bass player Mike Stupid was involved with Back of the Y
and just generally sifts around town still.
drummer Derek ex Propellor is now apparently in Melbourne
(with everyone else)
Final bass player Jason 'walrus' , ex loves ugly
has been playing drums with steve simpson in the unusuals.
The Nixons/EyeTV have never been a great band
and the comparison with future stupid is almost criminal
early singles by the Nixons were ok. Not really a comparison actually, I just threw the name in for the hell of it. They both occupied the unstable territory between indie and mainstream, and thats about it.
Nah, the drummer, Deryck is currently living here in Melbourne. He's in a band called Spider Goat Canyon, whom I caught recently - my jaw is still on the ground, and their music is awesome also ;) I think i want to bear Deryck's children ... one can only dream
