Whoohoo, I finally figured out how to use my instant messenger, Trillian, to use our chat. Anyone else on Trillian? Don't know how but want to?? Well, beg me to & I might try to explain how I did it.
Ok, after explaining the Trillian thing successfully to divad, I feel I am now an expert @ it :)
So, if anyone else needs, just say & I'll put it into instructions here.
ok, can someone help me? i click on the link right...and then the 'sign in' bit come up except for one thing......the button that says 'connect' - and ive been sitting here trying every chat room - but i cant get past that bit - its blank where the connection button should be!

you get the yellow sign in shout cast page with the link buttons on the bottom but the connect now button is missing?
use link it will take you to a demo site with a blue sign in box for jIRC
you will need to ghange a few things.....
type this in the feilds/boxes
channel.....shoutcast
leave 2nd channel box empty
real name........leave as is NO NOT put your real name as it can be read in the room
server name....irc.landoleet.org.....
there is a 2nd sever name feild..... just leave it as is
click connect now and all should be as normal........./join #NZMusic ......in diologe line
I sent some time yesterday, using jIRC yesterday, i.e. the programme that above link uses.
I would recommend it to every one who does not have a IRC programme of their own..........
there are a few features that are not avail to you if you come in through the shoutcast link, back text on white, ability to set your own type colour, you are also able to receive coloured messages.
being able to cut and past on right click is a helpful wee feature as well
