whenever i go and watch a show i notice there are always people there filming and recording sound, where does this go? and how come its never made available to me, joe public?

what i want to know is, why dont tvnz ever film or subcontract a company to film major overseas bands that play in nz? i would watch every concert they showed..... im sure theres probably reasons to do with copyright and royalty costs and stuff, but the dream lingers in my head.
