I like it! I suggested it a couple months ago, ... does that mean anything? - not sure if they had it in mind already. It has a nice, lived in feel, plus it's already associated with em, so it feel like a good choice to me. Props to the guys for staying at least partially conencted to the past. Plus it's great to have it finally settled. Let the US campaign begin!!!

I see pacifier.com and .net are taken by some Pacifier Online. pacifierband.com is taken by "Hideo Fuji LLC" and pacifier.co.nz isn't even registered (and wouldn't really be appropriate for the bands international aspirations anyway). They must have registered a domain name before announcing the name, you'd think.

to me, pacifier takes away form the music slightly, cos it takes the edge off - as many people have said, they will always be shihad.
choosing an old song name was expected but pacifier seems to soft. something like bone orchard would have kept that edge there.

Ok.. on the "email the Program Director" tip.. I DID get an answer back. He (Jack Paper, PD for our local Clear Channel Communications stations - a heavy hitter worldwide in radio) thanked me for the heads up and will "keep an eye and ear open for them". So I guess we'll have to WAIT AND SEE if PACIFIER gets booked! Damn, that would be cool! I'm hoping these new connections with their management here and all that and the big names associated get them off the ground, cuz it ain't easy tryin' to get to LA when San Fran is closer and harder to make it to anyway, when ya ain't a kid anymore and have a family!
