Supergroove...

Hi Everybody!

Here's a little Q from the northern part of the planet!(Denmark)

A few months ago I discovered a NZ band called Supergroove. All I know about these guys(?) is that they('re) making/made some masterpieces of music. Can you help me here...?

Anders

Forums: NZ Music,

Damn straight they did...
Been in the UK for about 6 years and last week the singles box arrived on my doorstep.
First time I had heard Cant get enough and Sitting Inside my Head for a long while, and to be honest, although I am a feedback monger myself, I bloody well love those guys.......
Where are they now?
I know what Che Fu is doing, what about the others?

I love supergroove!!!
They made another cd after Che Fu left the band, I think it was pretty much a flop.
I guess that after he left, it wasn't quite the same. They've just sort of dissappeared.
I MISS 'Em!!

Didn't that guy Nick from Supergroove present that show with Cal Wilson and Jennifer Weather Centre AGES ago (can't recall the name)? Can't believe I remember that. Believe I saw him on Squeeze about a year ago, now in a dub or was it jazz kinda outfit or something, they played at last year's bFM Summer Series I'm sure.

PS: What DID happen to Jennifer Weather Centre? :D

I'm glad something happened to Jennifer Weather Centre!!! She had to go! Crazy woman...

Supergroove were the shit! SO many years ago :(

Agreed about Jennifer Weather Centre... just wondering really! ANNOYING AS HELL.

Supergroove.... absolutely CLASSIC.

Paul, the original drummer is still playing with Che Fu and is also in a band called Eight. The others seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth.

I remember seeing SG at an orientation gig. By far the HARDEST working band in NZ at the time.

Rovfisk - Im moving to Copenhagen next month to live. What is the music scene there like?

yeah Nick Atkinson was on that show you mentioned Martha.... he also did a stint on Max TV (RIP). Still gigging around the place in jazz bands and stuff I think... Foghorn?? but you're more likely to see his name at the bottom of music reviews.. he writes for several magazines and newspapers etc including Selector which you can uhhhh come and grab at Sounds ;)

Ahh, so thats where i've seen him before. Saw foghorn at Rakino's last night. They were very very very good.
