This Box Set is DOUBLE SHRINKWRAPPED; there are NO HOLES in the wrap, as it might appear. IT IS A NEW copy of this unobtainable 4 CD box, which sells for hundreds of dollars USED. All four CD's are full of astonishing rythmic invention, but unlike so much radical music the melodic side isn't neglected either, thanks especially to D'Ath's incredible voice. The 'I will if I can' single which was released posthumously and contains six live tracks (three as hidden tracks) is a fitting finale. 'Mamouth' is amazing as is the version of 'Amalgm's''And we bake'. The self titled album contains Skeptics two most well known tracks 'A.F.F.C.O' and 'Agitator'. You'll have to take my word for it that a man sing 'June, June, June, July, August, the winter months' is one of the most beautiful things you're ever likely to here. 'La Motta' seems to literally capture the sound of being punch drunk. Fabulous stuff!! The 4th cd 'Sensible' is an extention of the 'Sensible Shoes' ep, and whilst not being quite as innovative as the others is still pretty damm wonderful.

Indeed, it is a magnificent beacon in an otherwise grey featureless world. My copy makes for an excellant draft excluder, and I also use it to hold down the Sunday paper on a windy day. I should probably just play it loud though, right? No, hang on, hold it right there -- I am receiving some scuttlebutt gossip on a scale that is hard to believe - and should certainly dispel my smugness for a good while yet....wait for it...
