The New Subtract album is well under way with Mark rees completing his drums.
Put it this way, the drums alone are too heavy for local radio, so keep your metal ears to the ground and it should be out around June or July.
The album is called "Formula 1"

I was wondering what Subtract were ...
I was wondering what Subtract were upto, and how i had not heard the Bloodshot ep... then on M2 a few weeks ago i saw the Subtract video for the song Defeat. I was pretty dissapointed, is this the best New Zealand metal has to cough up? (in my oppinion) it sounded like a second-rate Snapcase meets older Tool, mixed with the "nu-metal" leanings of Machine Heads latest offerings. Very groove oriented and professional hard rock, hardly what I would personally classify as Metal.
I will still listen to the new one and give it a decent chance but I dont see this as the future of metal or New Zealand metal.
About radio-friendliness... Subtract are super radio worthy and very accessible compared to alot of the Metal thats going around these days in the underground. Aucklanders check out the band Forced to Submit if you want an all out brutal metal assault.

If you think Subtract are radio friendly you are one sad fucker. Just because your own band misled by lies suck isn't getting any where!
