The Gordons

The Gordons were an angular post-punk band formed in the early 1980s.

History

The Gordons released the three-song Future Shock EP in 1980, along with a video for the song "Adults And Children." Their debut self-titled LP came out in 1981; a press release for it stated, "If you don't buy our album, we will blow you up. Love, the Gordons." The Gordons was voted best album of 1981 by readers of 'Rip It Up magazine. The band then released the Volume Two LP in 1984, before disbanding circa 1985. Flying Nun Europe (and subsequently Flying Nun proper) reissued The Gordons and Future Shock EP on one CD, while Volume Two remains unavailable and highly sought after.
