Forming in March 04, with a chance meeting between Joe (Guitar) & Jason (Drums) in suburban South Auckland, the foundations of Fuelset were laid with a simple question “Wanna start a band?”. Shortly after Hayden was recruited on Bass and the band then know as Attica began writing songs and playing live shows throughout Auckland with former vocalist Rob. In August 05 after an intensive search for a replacement singer, Darrin joined the band, who had by now evolved into Fuelset, an uncompromising and powerful all original Metal outfit. After a brief settling period writing new material the new Fuelset played their first live show together at Hysteria on 22 October. Since then numerous live shows throughout Auckland and further afeild as well as constantly writing new songs has seen the band go from strength to strength. A 3 track demo was recorded in March 2006 with Device, One on One, & Six Feet Under being laid down.
