When: Thursday 28th February 2002, 8:30 pm
Where: The Market Space (second floor, Wakefield Markets), Wellington

To launch her new CD, "undinal songs", Daphne Lawless will be
performing as part of the Fringe Festival 2002. The concert will
feature all the songs from the new album, plus other original
material and the occasional warped cover version. Her electro-pop
feel and intense stage presence has been compared to such artists
as Kate Bush, Tori Amos and Laurie Anderson.
Accompanying herself on dual synthesizers and home-made backing
tracks, Daphne describes her new songs as "funny and frightening...
definitely different to most of what's out there." Daphne will be
supported by the vocal stylings of Jude Hutton, and bellydancing MC
Sylvia Edge.
