So we have put up with shihad for 12 years so they cover should be a NZ song. I mean if they are going to change their name for american success which is sorta silly they should at least do this for us eh?

in honesty though i'd like to hear a heavier version of led zeppelins achilles last stand. that would be a tough, tough call...even joe satriani would be sweating to cover that.
obvious by janes addiction? but because i have genuine care for the saftey of jon's testicles in hitting some of those farrell notes, we'll leave it alone...
chocolate cake was a fine choice mr stefan... acually yeah, totally. maybe they could cover their own 'get up', at least they wouldn't have to learn it... what a stupid fucking idea that was!? bet it would still sound the shit tho'.

Hmmm a covers BAND is a complete ...
Hmmm a covers BAND is a complete different thing to an established group covering ONE song....
In a covers band you would want the songs to sound as much like the original as possible....because they are trying to recreate the feel of the original band etc....but if a well-established band like shihad covered ONE song you would want them to ADD somthing to it. Wouldn't that be the whole point! Who wants to hear to band cover the song and hear it sound exactly the same as the original?!
That is why i think they should think long and hard about it instead of just seeing what the majority of fans would prefer....
There must a a song out there they have all loved but thought "hey if we turned the guitars up hear and sampled some of this in here and made the lyrics wail a bit less....."

Shihad should cover Crowded House's song "You'd Better Be Home Soon". Shihad rock, but when they mellow out and slow down, they produce some beautiful songs like "Debs Night Out" and "Pacifier" and i think they would do an awesome cover of this song. Chuck out the distortion pedals, I say!
