good new new zeeeland bands

could someone recommend some good kiwi bands around at the moment? ive been out of the loop for a bit and most of the bands that i liked when i left nz either aren't around anymore (aren't playing very often?), or they've turned to shit. i won't name any names. well... maybe later when i feel more motivated.

Kora

ahh, so much better live, they blew my socks off a couple of years ago when they opened for Shihad

Best band @ the last Rhythm And Vines to be honest

i saw a kora video on juice recently - not really my thing. way too repetative, and funny to see ppl rocking out when i totally do not feel the urge to rock out.

man, im so hard to please these days - what a snob!

You need help KORA are the bomb!!!!Best god dam live band ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't heard them live but I'm rather liking The Deadly Deaths

Check out the tiger tones, A Flight to Blackout, Black Market Art, The Pickups and The Enright house from Christchurch
Apparently Kitten of the Acid Cutter from Dunedin are pretty awesome (they used to be mostly members on Zan Batman Circus) and Onanon.

so so modern and connan and the mockasins

my personal favs

yet to hear So So
but Grayson Gilmour's solo stuff is awesome!

the stomps. sorta dixieland indie punk.
yeah they're friends of mine but one of the best bands i've seen. could be big overseas if they play their cards right. (would help if elliott left his powerless northland shack once in a while.)
