More attacking low earners

vampires/leeches/parasites/bludgers in the Blue corner of our Elected House wish to make Good Friday and Easter Sunday fair game for shop trading.
you know this is just going to fuck over Retail Workers.
get into our M.P'.s here, they might be voting on this piece of shit bill tomorrow and I for one will be furious if it passes.

how many days do we need the shops open? bring back 6 day trading I say, instead of worrying about anti-smacking bill breaking up family a few noteables should be frothing at this.

in the good old days if you were not sorted by 4 oclock Friday , try again Monday. Civilzation certainly didn't crumble because I couldn't buy paint.

Forums: The Bar,

i worked easter. can't exactly close a hotel.

i like that shops are open on sundays. i hated it in germany when i worked all week and then only had the saturday to do anything. sunday had to be a lazy day whether i felt like it or not! also the video shops were closed. how lame is that? nothing to do and can't even rent a film.

bit ridiculous how we have shops open on sunday but can barely get there with public transport though. i guess thats a whole other story!

Clearly you missed the classic foal30 topic
"Rollercoaster Surplus"

the merits of Public Transport were discussed here in a mature and articulate manner.
will the new format bring back Flipper?

I hated working all week. Be glad it's 5 days then and help your comrades by doing your shopping and associated chores in those time frames.
It's community minded.
why not rent a film on Saturday. surely such planning should be elementary.Instead of expecting unrealistic levels of service , take responsibility for your own entertainment.

I for one, keep a whip for flogging the children should I ever find myself short on harmless pursuits on a long weekend.

mostly i agree. accept for bottle stores. fuck them they can stay open.

i mean.... you accept there must be exceptions. (yay i beat the morphology and syntax police)

I can't think of an exception.
I don't drink so that may help this position though.

It's always convenient to have supermarkets open, apart from that, who cares! Shut it all.

Supermarkets cover the booze aspect, though. :)

not in west auckland

Not if beer and wine hangovers have forced you into the comforting arms of spirits....

I like my 24/7/365 convenience.

I know many people feel otherwise (and good for them), but I don't think Easter, Anzac Day, Xmas or New Year should be sacrosanct.
