Deluxeboy are a 4-piece from Christchurch, comprising of brothers Matt (guitars/vocals) and Joe Barus (bass/vocals), Tim McLeod (guitars/keys) and Graeme Jackson(drums). They have release a single "Three Million Odd People", which also feature "Shadowboxer". An album and new video(!!) are on the way...sooooon.
*TRUE*, Adrian Palmer was their drummer until he was 'forced' to leave to concentrate on that other band, ZED.

this is a track i would play with pride to anyone, anywhere in the world. it definitly sounds international, wheres the album i ask myself?
Nah, didn't like... Not rocky enough, not anything enough. I liked the band b4 them, but they were just kinda lame... Shameless self-promotion in there too.
I love 4 man bob. And I love deluxeboy. The bob are SKA - all the way! And all so very talented. But you really really can't compare a ska band with a poprock band... it's WRONG
YAY i went to the Op Shop Ball! It was fun! 4 Man bob were really fun, i liked Deluxeboy too, thanks again to Matty for letting us in...:) and to Chris & Si and the 4YP crew for a great night!...haha i might have even seen you, Megaccino!

deluxe were up here in the 09 in the weekend. they played over on the shore (WAY too far away from where i live) but i was staying the night over there. they were playing with zed and it was $20, so that was 2 good reasons not to go!! i was having dinner across the road from where they were playing and after dinner i went a had a quick listen through the window while i was waiting for everyone to pile into a taxi. heard 'my design' sounded pretty good. has graham left now? *could only see matt and jo thru the window*
Yeah, Graham has left, new drummer Greg Donaldson, very good.

The video looked great the reaction was great, i looked great :D (spot the air guitarist wearing the Steriogram singlet) my favourite track of the nite was the long dancy one @ the end...its always a winner. I got a playlist off Jos amp but i forgot to see what the last song was called. Next single will be "All Gone Now"

i read somewhere that deluxeboy are still recording their album which will hopefully be out before christmas..and they are going to be coming back bigger and better.... Sounds good!

I did, they totally rocked da haus in my little old opinion... Age and Ben from Zed also turned up to do the honourable thing for Tim, he looked like he has a blast so I hope he enjoyed it as much as well all did (if not more). Matt and Jo did a ukelele version of that Sha Na Na song "Goodnight Sweetheart" for him at the end... it was hilarious :D Thanks guys!
Tim's off to Melbourne (which I MUST say is where I'm at today!!) and for some STRANGE reason so are half the other nz musos. I've been listening to Melbourne's musical talent - and honestly (I'm not being biased - much) the gigging bands out here aren't half as impressive as some of the talent we have back home.
Well, D'Boy has a following! You boys don't really deserve it due to being so slack and not producing any new music for the starved world. Can't break the rock scene eh? Where are you???? Jump on the wild stallion and make your way through! The world should not have to kept so long.
