I want to talk about how one player ie Craig Bellamy can make oodles of £ while being a complete plonker? Why do clubs want this player when he has a history of off field dramas, hasn't won any medals, and is not a consistent scorer for any of the clubs he has played for?
Another example of the Premiership (and other European leagues for that matter) being too enamoured with the all mighty dollar/euro/pound. The sooner Platini instills a salary cap the better. I'm tired of seeing overhyped average players earn mega dollars for doing sod all. There are probably only a handful of players that I would actually say earn their money and have my respect. The rest can go jump. As for Charlton and West Ham, well it looks like the East End of London might be a bit barren in terms of Premiership teams come end of the season. Charlton have had a pretty good run in the league considering their size and resources. Hope they don't turn into a Leeds Utd ie get relegated to Div 2 status.
