what an appalling indictment on society. I'm sceptical of widespread kidnapping by the MSD, I'm more concerned about their chronic underfunding.

No doubt theres incompetent staff their , It is after a workplace like any other, the issue must surely be with the situations that get them involved in the first place. I don't wish to be mean-spirited but in my experience there is way more children in dreadful home situations than actual help available.
It is ongoing and will actually take a major shift of society's priorities to improve

I'm sure the much missed AKA could talk about this. I've not had that much to do with CYPFS but what I have certainly wouldn't warrant this sort of thing going on.
