Heya team,
Im looking to start some jamming sessions with any like-minded individuals (any instruments guys, as long as it sounds cool) anywho, these sessions could just be cover sessions to start off with so we can get familiar with each others styles and techniques of their given instrument, then hopefully moving into writing our own music (im sure we all do that at the mo anyway)
Il give you a vague idea of the sound im going for….. Basically a funky pop rock, I wont name bands that I want to sound like, but I will list a fair few bands/artists that I hold in high regard and love their music.
John Mayer, John Butler Trio, Butterfly Boucher, Coldplay, Radiohead, The Klaxons, The Futureheads, Jeff Buckley, At the Drive In, Deftones, Orson, Nizlopi, Mew, Looptroop, Kisschasy, Kaskade, Joseph Arthur, Frou Frou, A Perfect Circle, Four Tet, Snow Patrol, Common, Billy Corgan, Third Eye Blind, Bloc Party, Jakob, Everlast, Shapeshifter, Aim, Arrested Development, Fall Out Boy, Bonobo, Kanye West, RJD2, Motion City Soundtrack, Pete Yorn, Mint Royale, Basement Jaxx, Duchess, The Mint Chicks, Sneaker Pimps and to most this last one will be a killer to the list….. Avril Lavigne (unfortunately I actually like her songs and think shes hot too)
But yea, I put out an extensive list as if you like any of these artists, I know ill get along with you already.

A bit about me… Im blonde, blue eyed, don’t really like the beach as I have a deathly phobia of salted water….. just kidding. Im currently based in Albany but will be moving more towards the Bay’s of North Shore, I play the guitar and little bit of the keyboard, my guitars arent of the best standard at present, but I have a decent acoustic ive borrowed (for a good couple of years now) off a mate.

Anyway guys, like I mentioned earlier, I want anybody and everybody to reply/respond, you don’t have to be the best at your instrument of choice, as long as you passionate about music, keen for a bit of fun and lastly are into the same vein of music.
