Death To BBQ Reggae

So are you Hot Wookie on blogger, Tim?

cf. the comments on the post below, the first time I heard the term "BBQ reggae" before.

Go the edgy internet viral marketing...

I can't believe you guys are showing such blatant disrespect for my Fathers favourite music.
I bet this is sales driven, your jealous arn't you.
this is also my only contact with Indeginous People, how can I keep my liberal credentials if this genre dosen't say fashionable?

Hot Wookie, nah it's got to be that Chewbacca fiend on Saturdays...

That's hardly a revelation - but The Black Seeds are much worse, do they qualify as BBQ reggae?

And that terrible Cuban collaboration album - elevator music with some deep lyrics, hideous.

Jet, I am indeed the 'Hot Wookie' as you duly noted.I also have to agree with the comments posted by 'Nob', that 'O.D. Brazil' thing is so bad, even worse than I expected it to be.And yes, the Black Seeds are BBQ Reggae.

Jah.

...and while I'm at it, is it just me or is the album title 'ONUS' of Sand' dangerously close to 'ANUS' of Sand???

Fry the bastards!

Heh, Pig Out is just as reggae as that album... you're weird.

BTW, is your nickname on here after that old New York MC? I always think of Tim Dog growling "STEP TO ME!!!" every time I read your posts.

Sand of Anus, proof that living by the Beach is over-rated.

"Step to me" is better association than "Step One! , we can have lots of fun".

I wouldn't shove Onus of sound In with the bbq reggae crowd. some of the same people but it isn't bbq reggae.
It's ok. (emphasis on the ok)

Hmmmm, Jet , how do you find the reggae in Pig Out?I'm curious....maybe you've found some parallel universe that I haven't yet inhabited! Fill me in on your secret, I'm sure they would like to know just as much as I do!

Oh, and yes, I am 'weird' and proud of it.

Tim Dog is indeed nicked of the old hip hop MC. My cat is also named after another MC, Roxanne Shante, famous NYC b-girl of the early 80s. My children will be called Osama, Beyonce, Kelis and Saddam. Now that's wierd.Step to me!!!

I didn't say there's anything reggae about Pig Out. There's not.

hey what a cool thread you created you are a cool guy

I like it. For some people drab hookless M.O.R. just brings about a kind of sadness and apathy - not for this listener. Check out Steely Dans "Haitian Divorce" - a cod reggae album rock track about their sound engineer (Mike Nichols) flying out to Haitii for a dirt cheap divorce. Thats rock n roll. Hang on, my phones ringing...
