I watched it last year in the Otago Uni AV dept.
I may have recounted this story before, but as with many movies in there, it was actually recorded straight off TV2 back in the early 90's. It had the national anthem TVNZ clip! And the amazing 'mobile' phone in a briefcase which cost over 1K, with some guy using it in his business suit on a beach. Good times. I'd talk about that recording all day if I could.

Well the only copy of The Quiet Earth I could find was on DVD ... so I looked up Eating Media Lunch on the off chance it was there, it amazingly was, so I watched the first season! Never saw it on tv, funny to see him getting kicked out of the Lord of the Rings interviews for asking "New Zealand pussy ... discuss."
