Friday youtube

Ok so what about everybody nominates a good youtube movie to get the weekend off to the best start.

I'll kick it off - Weird Al's new one, White and nerdy. Excellent. Remember being 8 and Weid Al was just the most hilarious thing ever? The owner of this youtube account is actually weird al himself. Maybe.

Forums: The Bar,

I got a few random ones ...

Real life Simpson opening: http://youtube.com/watch?v=D6o3JnBxeGA

Buzz Aldrin punches a moon conspiracy nut in the noggin: http://youtube.com/watch?v=mQKxAqpjroo

Short film about someone taking over John Stamos' identity - featuring the man himself!!! http://youtube.com/watch?v=TEtI1B2Ip7Y

If you want some righteous shit, this is MSNBC journalist Keith Olbermann absolutely slamming Fox for their blindsiding of Clinton during the week and hanging a whole lot of shit on the Bush administration at the same time. I think it'd be hard to counter his points, and the mix of solid information and righteous rage makes for pretty awesome journalism.

This is the transcript for those on dial-up who don't want to wait to download a 10 min vid. Search in the page for "finally tonight" to get to the start of his comment.

WARNING: if the blur video with the milk cartons ever made you emotional, it'd be best to avoid this clip, at least until you have the time to step outside for a ciggy and a stiff drink.

Why the hell have your last three posts only shown up on bloglines now???

..one of them's almost two weeks old!

// Why the hell have your last three posts only shown up on bloglines now???

yeah, just figured out that my feedburner feed was pointed at the wrong place. updated that, which caught those older posts as well.

normal service should be resuming as of now. Until I rebuild the site. Again.

//Why the hell have your last three posts only shown up on bloglines now???

Why the hell are you posting on NZM Heather?

And why the hell aren't you replying to your Wellingtonista emails, Noizy?

WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE WORLD?

I'm not heather, she's hired me to maintain a presence.

// And why the hell aren't you replying to your Wellingtonista emails, Noizy?

I've been watching that latest thread without too much need to comment. You and Wanda seem to have it all under control.

And been busy doing sporty stuff with Hadyn over at the Dropkicks. (The fact that he's been contributing to both the wellingtonista email discussion and the dropkicks email discussions today makes me think he must have the sort of job I used to have).

//I'm not heather, she's hired me to maintain a presence.

Are you hired to maintain Hubris too?

no, why?

Nevermind, I'll talk to Heather about it!

Thanks for that, Noizyboy. Interesting. I seem to remember White Russians.....and how sad to see Jordan Luck so young and beautiful, as he indeed used to be. I'd have to cast my mind a fair way back to remember the live Auckland scene in 1984. As I recall, the Screaming Meemees and dance exponents etc were the thing. I don't remember seeing much music live, really. If we did, like I said, it's lost in the mists of time. Much of my social life rotated around Varsity, and the Shadows bar at the time, and I'm not sure we ever had live bands there. Made me think, now.

This is really popular, so maybe plenty have seen it, but it's a Michel Gondry style vid of a guy who can't play drums or piano playing both, all chopped up to be in time and make a tune. With funny bits.

that guy's awesome . . .
