I am gonna go for zero pies on this tour.... zero pies with about 5 days in the van, thats nearly impossible. But i will do. If not in the name of liberty and justice then in the name of not being a fat bastard.
Thing is, if you're used to Patrisha's Pies from Island Bay, then all other pies would surely pale in comparison, and shouldn't be worthy of your consumption.
do they do it without the bacon? i can be there in 4 mins..!. i'm not really down with animal mixing, granted chicken and bacon is probably the one exception.
(people who eat chicken and egg together are just plain sickos)
Had a CBM today it was ok. I think it could have been creamier $4.50 is a bit rough for a pie though. I would say it's worth $3.50 all day. Nice pastery even though it was a little burnt. 3/5

That pie maker is brilliant. Actually, it's the demi puff pastry that I've never been able to get right.
If anybody goes to Tassie, there is a pie shop I have been dreaming about for the last 8 years. It's in a bus stop called Hamilton in the Highlands. Ate four at once and could have eaten the whole dozen by myself. Was warned by the locals that they put heroin in them.
Oh yeah, this is a thread about the TPF Cassette tour. Hope it was epic. Had a look at my old Low Hum mag pics of their first tour together. Looks like it would have been good.
I had one of those last week (venison and strawberry). Was pretty good, if not a little pricey. If i'm gonna spend that much on a pie i'm with Noizy, give me a Patrisha's (not Trisha's - big difference) plain mince, potato top or "stockman's" (steak, cheese, onion, ham and egg - OMG!)
It's on Pitt St, I think. It's that big old pretty building. Surely you would have been there before though Manamana, cos I think that's where they have the Cleo Bachelor of the Year parties...

i agree, great venue huh. makes a nice change from the norm. it's like a mini town hall not too big or small. i think dimmer are playing there in a week or so
