On the last Thursday of every month we are lucky to have Make Out City present four very good young bands for $5. Check out the MySpace links for Ginger Brown, Holiday with Friends, Tommy Ill and Blain Hosford who are playing tomorrow night. Just like the scouts from Festival Mushroom Records you will be impressed at the quality and variety of young local talent.

Brew NZ - From Monday 4 September
Bodega is Wellingtons first real ale bar and as you would expect we have an extra-ordinary selection of New Zealand mircrobrews for you to sample. Green Man, Three Boys, Renaissance, Tuatara, Monteith's, Emerson's and Taakawa just to name a few. Everyday from 5pm until 9pm you can sample seven beers for $20. Bookings are essential for State of the Nations beer tasting with Neil McInnes at 7.30pm on Wednesday 6 September.
Peter and The Test Tube Babies - Thursday 7 September
A punk rock band formed around Brighton in 1977and still touring today. In 1982 they covered the chart-topping Gary Glitter hit "I'm The Leader of The Gang (I Am)", on their album Pissed and Proud which got some notoriety, being called a contender for the worst cover version of all time.
Youth Group (AUS), Johs Pyke (AUS) – Friday 8 September
Their single "Forever Young" (a cover of the song by Alphaville) was used in the television show The O.C. creating wide interest in Youth Group from mainstream audiences and taking Youth Group into the charts.
