terrestrial radio is dead.

my last.fm recommendation radio station gives me pretty good service...

I agree. Haven't listened to a radio station for years ...

I guess I stopped when I came to Dunedin and there was no Channel Z ... even though its latter day incarnations didn't get much respect, they did play some good stuff some of the time.

Whoa, didn't see that one coming!!!!

I like "her Majesty's Satanic Request show" on Radio Jihad (66.6 FM) Sunday nights from 7 - Midnight. Hosted by the ghosts of Adolf Hitler and Aleister Crowley.

heh. tried Radio Satan 666?

also has an online 'sell your soul' option...

Radio Satan 666, the first web site to give you the Satanic Bible "Quote-A-Matic" thingy featured on our home page, has created the most powerful and versatile e-commerce trading exchange with the underworld. The universal acceptance of the World Wide Web now provides you with a singular opportunity: the ability to sell your soul in the comfort of your own homes. Experts tell us that online transactions are every bit as safe as face to face transactions-- although neither can be guaranteed to be 100% risk free. You're just as likely to be run over by a truck on your way to your neighborhood sorcerer as you are to run into security problems when selling something online! Nevertheless, we have minimized your risks by securing an exclusive technology partnership with Satan, and the dark lord himself has named his earthly messenger, the Prince of Darkness, as his legal executor. We have established a permanent, secured, and fault tolerant TCP connection on port 666 to the depth of hell and you don't even need a credit card merchant account.

No real wish to be seen as a stirrer...

But I do know someone uses Rhema as their clock radio alarm. They find it facilitates their rising...

I use Life FM for the same reason. Thanks for the help, Christians!

am is the new fm - between Access Radio, Radio Sport, National Radio - I get nothing done all day! Then I watch Antiques Roadshow on the Living Channel.
Good times, good times.

radio sport cracks me up. if it wasn't for the ads, I'd listen a whole lot more.

the fervour with which people call in with to discuss the latest All Black backline re-shuffle. the sheer ignominy they feel at their various sporting team's defeats. I love my sport, but these guys are fanatics.

and Deaker! what a dick!

// Then I watch Antiques Roadshow on the Living Channel

tell ya what, the greatest programming travesty of this century so far is when they moved DIY Scrapbooking from 9pm Friday to whenever the hell it is now. I mean, Garden Rivals is okay, and Neat is certainly some pretty compelling viewing, but the rainbow-cardigan wearing Sandy Genovese telling her latest DIY Scrapbooking freakazoid that their Stars-and-Stripes themed photo layout (replete with enough embellishments to sink a fucking battleship) is "so cool" is the sort of comedy gold I sorely miss after a hard week's work.

...radio Rhema..

//We believe in the resurrection of all people, leading to eternal blessing for the believers and eternal punishment for unbelievers. //

fits so well with all those smiley faces on the site, eh.

// Jesus loves you! He desires to have a relationship with you
// and to give you a full life of joy and purpose.

Sounds like a bad personals ad, doesn't it? "Loving single white male desires like-minded person (male or female) for long-term relationship. Enjoys: long walks on the water, wine-making, philosophy."

hmm, in my opinion, traditional radio is becoming the background observer in sound content these days. I prefer 'on demand' podcasting, as I can listen to radio or talk discussion when I want and when I'm ready. In saying this, I haven't quite dissed traditional radio for digital services. National radio, and BBC radio are the best for recieving my fair quota of current events. As for music, I'm biased and would care to go and listen to stuff in a music store or whats on offer somewhere on the world wide web.
Cheers,

Bfm!!!!
