Sorry to post this here as well, but lets face it, hardly anyone pays attention to the classifieds, ha ha. It's also the reason for not making the topic name "Bass player and drummer needed" : )

I play in a noisy sonic-rock band, and have been for the last year or so. Anyway, Ive been looking to start a little side-project for a while now. A stripped back, raw sounding, indie rock band, with a female front person. Kind of a mix of PJ Harvey, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, even a little of the Ravonettes. I had been thinking about it for quite some time, but was put off by the prospect of knowing that it would be a real challenge finding the right person to front this band. Luck was obviously on my side, because a few months ago I met this really cool girl who was pretty much exactly the type of person I had envisaged forming this band with.
Which brings me to the point of this post. We are in need of a bass player and drummer (just like every other band right now!) and the sooner the better. As Ive said, this is going to be essentially a stripped back power trio, so were looking for people who believe that less is definitely more. Nothing too frilly or fancy.
Looking for a drummer who can play simply, but still come up with interesting parts; probably with more focus on snare, hi-hat, and kick, rather than a lot of tom work and cymbal crashes.
Bass player needs to have a strong melodic sensibility, but also be able to groove on basic parts, or dig in harder when needed.
