Back from holiday

Been back since Monday, but the boards been playing up. Well, I'm well rested and relaxed, it was almost a prefect break, I went to a small town in the Czech republic, about 3 hours out of Prague, and it was great only downside was believe it or not, the weather, it was too hot !! they're having the same heatwave as here in the UK, one day it got upto 40 degrees !!! so it was alot of laying around reading books and the odd bit of sight seeing, The town was small and lovely, not picture book lovely, rustic lovely. We went to a WWll gun bunker on the cezch / polish border, which was great, it went down 40 meters ... which was fine till I found out, no lift ...!! going down was fine, but bloody hell the trip back took almost a week .... 40 meters below ground it was cold, could see your breath, but by the time I got to the top again it felt like I was breathing fire, it was boiling up top. We also visited a manor house / small palace, beautiful place. We also spent time at the outside swimming pool, where I sat around and read my book. In town there were 13 bars/pubs and the town only had a population of about 5000 ! I went to the bar .. link below, but all in cezch I'm afraid .. yeah I have no idea either, but the pic's are nice ... I brought 11 beers, pilsner, it cost me 197 krona .. which is about £5 or $15nz ... and the guy who owns it speaks English about the only guy in town I met who did .. but get this .... all the time I was there the Alice kept telling me, that's the English shop .. it's run by an english guy who married a cezch girl from the town .. I didn't go in till my last day, as I avoided any english contact .. had a lifetime of english speakers ... as I went in the woman spoke cezch to me ... so I said sorry speak english, she imediately started speaking English .. turns out her husband was born in England and at the age of 8 his family emigrated to new zealand and he lived there for 25 years, came back to the UK for a few years met his wife and now lives in Luze ( name of the town ) I was taken trough to the back garden and proceeded to drink beers with my new kiwi mate, Phil .. :-) !! To round things off ... I had a wonderfull time, and ahve come back rested and relaxed .. highly recommend the cezch republic as a place to go.

Nice one bruv. She sure is a lovely part of Europe.

Yeah it was mate, I feel I'll be back sometime soon, and I'll hire a car next time too so I don't have to rely on others to drive me around, anyone who's over here ( Europe ) I'll recommend a trip to czech republic .. Prague's .. the old city centre .. is just about beyond words, it's one of the only cities in europe which wasn't bombed in either world war, and the buildings date back to 14th and 15th century .. and the old jewish cemertry .. worth a look .. anyhow enough of me ... how's things in welly mate ?? the weather's broken over here, had rain and it's alot cooler, which makes for a better working enviroment .. got no air con at reception. works quiet, got a bloke called .. seth lakeman ??? in the hall a band called karma 45 in studio one and in studio 2 .. no not George ... but another regular client of ours, who's so nice we feel bad charging for the studio, the classical guitarist John Williams. years ago when he first came in, I remember shaking his hand, I have a reasonably firm grip, and I remember thinking ... your hands are like butter mate, they just moulded to my grip ... since then I've come to understand, and he's just so nice to everyone.

just been talking to John .. ( above post ) .. we were talking about my holiday and he mentioned he's just been with a czech guitarist, a bloke called Pavel Steidl, think he said they did a few gigs together, he said he was great player so I thought I'd let the guitarists amongst you out there know his name, if you don't already .. or indeed if your even interested .... I've put his website below.
