Grab yourself a Groove Guide magazine from any music store in NZ when you're here, it contains a complete gig guide as well as interviews with touring bands, CD reviews, movie reviews and more!

I tend to check cheeseontoast.co.nz, especially for auckland gigs, and the artists myspace site. Most bands are good at updating gigs on their own sites and it's a good way to check out new bands. Also, have gone to any A Low Hum gigs? If Blink is bringing bands through a town that you are staying at you should definately head along! I find that information in Groove Guide and other print material can change. You can't beat the net.
