Watch them perfrom it live this Sat night and listen for yourself!
John Peel called them one of the ten best bands in the world you have never heard of. If you know anything about anything however, you will have heard of them, and if you haven't, you should go anyway. HDU are set to take the stage at Aucklands Studio on April 22 supported by Yokel Ono. The one off gig, will double as the release of their stunning new single Tunguska . HDU, were last seen performing alongside the Straitjacket Fits in Wellington last year, they made a terrific racket, then disappeared out of sight again. They don't play many shows these days so see them while you have a chance. HDU will kick your arse and make you like it.
An unstoppable drone-juggernaut, they proved equal parts compelling and terrifying for the more, er, chemically refreshed portions of their audience
Melody Maker
A roaring, enveloping psychedelic swirl of a propulsive hard rock band. Simultaneously driving and expansive, their music projects a wide-screen image of the onrushing of infinite landscapes as traversed from low orbit.
Steve Albini
Who knows how to pronounce? I don't actually care anymore, I went and got copy # 0012 from Real Groovy this afternoon and have been enjoying it. Followed by many beers, the old Nebula album and now the recent-ish Kinski album. Goodness bless the Kinski fellows up there in Seattle there...bless...here's to the HDU show this weekend..is there anyone out there tonight? Dino? What is the setlist for Saturday, dude? (etc.)
