Hello everybody, i'm a guitarist/recording engineer from Bali 46 years old, would like to make contact with people in NZ with same interest.
I used to work with major labels as staff recording engineer for about 12 years and also a couple of years in a Major TV Station and Post Production Facility. But my main interest is Guitar and only recently i've been able to pursue my main interest.
I have just finished recording my solo album at home with a Roland 2480DVD and about to record my next one. I only plan to use Internet Distribution.
I'm an Alumni of GIT Musician's Institute Hollywood 1983 and Berklee College of Music Boston 1987.I played in various Indonesia Metal groups in the 90's and have my own band which play mostly Rolling Stones tunes. I can play in many styles fluently, Country Lap Steel, Blues Slide Dobro, Neo-Classic Metal or Be-Bop Jazz. But currently i play Blues Rock with some band.
I have many kind of guitars but my main guitar is a Fender Strat '91 scallop neck with Flyod Rose Handle Bar and a Mesa Boogie 50 watts Single Rectifier Amp. Acoustically i like to play my National Resophonic Dobro and Takamine 12 strings.
I've just finished building my house at a resort in Bali called Dream Land Beach and been living here for 7 months. I came from Makassar Town in South Sulawesi before.
NZ has been in my dream for long time because i like nature and now i have the time to try to make contact with New Zealanders with same interest as mine. I'm hoping to know some insight about the culture and the music scene. Thank You.
