Gee, How much cynical snark will *this* attract...

In the weekend Herald it mentioned that they were listening to Tool's old albums in anticipation of the forth coming new album. In passing they mentioned that old 'most Tool per capita' chestnut.

I think it might have been true at one point but I'd really like to know how they figured it out and whether it still holds true now.

Does anyone have any answers or ideas of how to find out?
