THE FEELERS CALL IT A DAY

It's official. After three great albums and countless tours of NZ and overseas, The Feelers wish to announce the band is shortly going to come to an end.

James Reid (singer/guitarist), Matthew Thomas (Bass) and Hamish Gee (Drums) wish to thank all their fans and musical colleagues for many years of support.

At this stage, there is no final tour planned, but it is likely that The Feelers will do one last show in Christchurch toward the end of the year.

The band wish to let everyone know the decision to split up is a mutual one and simply a matter of "A great musical union running it's natural course".

Over and out,

The Feelers.

The Feelers

The Feelers are a New Zealand Rock band formed in the 1990s in Christchurch by James Reid (singer/guitarist), Matthew Thomas (Bass) and Hamish Gee (Drums).

The Feelers got a record deal with Warner Music and produced their first album, Supersystem, in 1998. It was the second biggest selling album in New Zealand that year. They later went on to win Album of the Year, Song Writer of the Year (James Reid), Band of the Year, and Producer of the Year (Malcolm Welsford) at the New Zealand Music Awards in 1999.

The band then went into a period of silence until 2001 when their second album Communicate was released. Noted songs from that album include "Communicate," "The Web," and "Fishing for Lisa."

Their latest album, Playground Battle, is a new direction for the feelers. Some feel that the band is having difficulty meeting the standards of their first two albums, whilst others view the changes as a sign of the band's musical versatility.

The Feelers have toured extensively around New Zealand, Australia, USA and Europe.

Could you please provide the link where you got this info from? Thanks.

This is a scam topic. Total rubbish and we'll be dealing with the topic poster soon.

Will you subject him to 24 hours constant rotation of 'Larger than Life'?
