I loved it to pieces (HOTC). I like that kinda trash - it ain't meant to be anything more pretentious. Storyline can be a mental trap in terms of evaluating a film like that. To me it's about an aesthetic that has always been present in Zombie's graphics and audio work realised into a film aesthetic. Fascinating, flawed and fuck-off dirty dumb. Love it.

I found TDR to be better than HOTC... more cohesive and well rounded... and minus the "I hate all these victims - kill them off NOW!" element that HOTC had.
And I like that the head psycho looks a lot like Rob Zombie in the new one :)
