I was told yesterday a New Zealand act have signed to the biggest American indie (by style, not company structure) label, Sub Pop. Home to recent monster sellers like Death Cab for Cutie and Postal Service, as well as the bods who put out 90s "classics" like Dinosaur Jr.
So, is this public knowledge? No sign of anything on the web. Sorry to be a dick and not name names, but I think it's a bit rude to spill the beans if the act themselves haven't gone public about it.

Man, my hosting company is useless. They fixed that problem, and now I've got a new one that their oncall guy can't fix without some help from someone coming in in a few hours. Sheesh.

Wow, that's cool... yet, not actually the act I heard about yesterday. I think this is safely in the "wait and see" basket for a while, then.
