the complete idiot's guide to a-ha

For some, a-ha were nothing but a couple of decent singles, sometimes accompanied by a poster of their finely chiseled cheek-bones on the bedroom wall. But they actually had a serious multi-album career. No, really.

Check it out at the link below (includes several mp3 downloads for your listening and nostalgic purposes).

Forums: The Bar,

oh, and interesting to see Fat Freddy's Drop getting the mp3 blog treatment now as well.

The sound is spreading...

RE Aha- I agree with jefitoblog- I always thought Sun Always Shines was a better single than Take On Me. But yeah, I had no idea that Aha hadn't stopped writing music since Cry Wolf came out- it'll be interesting to listen to those samples once I get home.

If I rememeber correctly, Shapes That go Together was actually kinda catchy, tho not a patch on Take On Me

Awesome, he also does "Guides" to Genisis, Crowded House and Toto. Classic...
I'm searching for def leppard ;-)

Man, a-ha were one video. Forget the singles or album. It was that video that stands as their oeuvre.
