My family went to the Tokyo equivilent that year, but I went to my school Xmas dance instead. I'm not sure which would have been the more boring option...
The Vertigo show is damn cool- there's some older songs that the band have to play a few semitones lower in pitch (so that Bono can still sing the high register stuff), but wow- brilliant, brilliant show. No-one does arena rock like U2. So glad they're remembering little ole' NZ.
Arcade Fire are opening for the Canadian leg of the tour later this month- I wonder if there's any chance of them hitching a ride across the pacific?

I could tell you.
Dang, I'm still smarting from the time I missed out on tickets to the Slane Castle gig because I hit the "back" button on my browser.
Awesome!!!!!! I have waited so long for this. I'm excited already!
No doubt the tickies will be a little on the pricey side... still, depending on my mood, I might just pick up a couple...
