off-topic I know, but I had a Monteiths Summer the other afternoon, and I can't work out whether I had a bad one, or whether they've change the recipey, so that it's now more sugary beer coloured crap than beer....

I'm pretty sure it's not as good as last year. I don't know if it's a recipe change or nostalgia.

For the most part I haven't seen drunken men leering or groping at such events as these; at least not more than they do at a regular night at the pub. Just because women are required to wear hotpants for a job, it doesn't necessarily follow that guys are automatically sexually harassing them. It's the 21st century, after all.

Not that I'm condoning that particular career choice; just I think there's WAY worse exploitation than dancing girls handing out prizes. Like those Eagle Boys employees that are forced to wear the bird outfit on blazing summer days, bouncing about all perky-like, suffering the heat, and the scorn of friends and strangers alike. That kind of shit could ruin your life and your health, man...but who even thinks about them? Who will stand up for the rights of the poor chicken-suit-wearing guys?
