Cake Kitchen at the ka 20/10/05

Just like to say a big thank you to Graeme Jeffries last night. Fantastic show at the ka on a very rainy night. And for those that didn't go, it was a 29 song set that included Dave the Pimp, the Immigration Song and (yes that's right) Randolph's Going Home. He covered Nocturnal, TKP and current CK eras in a very poignant show. It's been a great year that's included children's hour, renderers, ghost club and now this!

Forums: NZ Music,

I was pretty creeped out by him playing Peter's stuff! Though fantastic to hear "Words Fail Me" & "From The Diary Of Herman Doubt" &c! "Strung Out" from the new album is up there with anything he's written, I reckon; & that Walnut Tree ballad was gorgeous. Shame (a) there wasn't a larger crowd, & (b) I was the youngest person there!

& it's been a good year, yeah (tho I'd swap yr Children's Hour for Bill Direen!)

Actually Bill Direen did play at the Wine Cellar earlier on this year too - why settle for one when you can have them all!

yeah, I was at that show! just not a fan of Children's Hour, &c.

Extra Cakekitchen show just announced for this Sunday afternoon:
