Forums: Bands,

I've been listening to Mr Hurley on and off for about 13 years. Last night I saw him busking outside the supermarket in Dominion Road. I bought a CD and he played Mona Lisa for my partner-in-crime and me.

He's so underrated it's offensive.

Heather, I know this is a very old post, but I caught him playing outside Three Kings Foodtown today, and bought his album. Lovely, lovely acoustic stuff I thought. Got it home and listened to it, and mostly well pleased. Which brings me to my second point. Would anyone like me to send them a free CD by Luke Hurley - it's called High Risk. I'd be pleased to spread the love.

Gidday Jackieg .. would you consider sending one over to London, ..?? curious is all, If so you can send it to work. Air Studios, Lyndhurst Hall, Lyndhurst road, London, NW3 5NG .. England of course... if you put it for the attention of Glen it'll find me .. I'll even refund the postage if you give a return address.

I was going to send a copy to Hamish anyway, wainui, so you can have it instead! I'll post it this afternoon.

I feel bad now, getting someone else's copy ... if you prefer to send it to him by all means do so, but otherwise thanks Jackie :-) .... do you want me to burn one and forward it to him ?

I'll be sending it on Saturday, wainui - actually, that ain't a bad plan burning one to send to Hame. It's cheapie postage. Not sure what their address is yet, wainui. They're driving to London today. I'll find out and let you know. That'd be great, thanks.

Ta for that, if he's up for a look around the studio, I'll be happy to show him around, I'm working Easter Friday and Monday, studios are quiet if he's intertrested. If he's up for it he can call me 0207 794 0660 anytime today or tomorrow.

You are a kind, kind man.

:-) it's okay jackie, we're not fort knox .. the security's pretty slack here sometimes, It'll let almost anyone in .. :-))) if he dose phone ask for Glen .. he won't get anywhere asking for wainuiomata ..

Got the CD thanks Jackie, it's playing on my computer as I type this, agree with you on the guitar playing, from what I've heard the his guitar playings great, songs sound good too. It's the sort of CD you can put on and just forget it's on, by that I don't mean lift music just that it flows quiet well. I note it's been recorded at some great places in NZ, York st, Revolver .. which is closed now isn't it ? Garden shed heard of that .. and Helen young too .. and the Lab, isn't that in Wellington ?? I like what I've heard so far Jackie, good call, Dose your brother want a copy ??

Don't worry about sending Hame a copy, wainui. I'm glad you're enjoying it....
