Katchafire on 1st september

Hey hey, everyone.
Aah, im so glad my first break for the uni smemester starts on monday! And what better way to start it off with Katchafire FREE at aotea square? I certainly cant think of anything better than a bit fo homegrown roots reggae to put me in a relaxed holiday sort of mood. BUT!
Does anyone know what time theyre playing? The expo theyre playing at goes all day, but i don't really wanna be there that long. Also, whos heard kora? Theyre playing as well, i haven't heard them before. Are they good? bad? worth seeing? I hope someone can fill me in, if not i guess ill go early-ish and see some of yas there.
Peace out,
Love,
Dallas.

Forums: NZ Music,

yes yes definitely ~kora are very fine musicians indeed. the four kora brothers + dan gruer on bass and synths... the blend of voices is so sweet ~these guys can really sing ! check out their website:

very jealous of katchafire and kora FREE !! wish they would do that in welly !

I know katchafires touring at least...it won't be free. but theyre always better when youre paying for just them. They pull out all the reggae classics...i heard them do ub40, 1865 by third world, small axe, exodus, and loads of other marley covers as well as a full set of their finest at aut. Theyre always worth the money.

yeah, Kora are an awesome live band, don't miss them - they do the dub/roots thing but they rock it up heaps.

. . . also very jealous . . .

Cool. ill try not to miss them. But anyone know what time either of these two bands start? ive seen the flyers, and they dont say anything, been to the katchafire site as well. Cuz i gotta work at 5 that day. So i wanna make sure i can either get someone to cover for me, or see the bands and work anyway.

Holy french sticks with cheese camels and a side of toffeed kangaroo jandal. I just got the kora EP, and now i cant wait to see them. what a mean band, you guys were spot on. I love burnin', what a cool song.
