Boyz II Men (ladies!)

I don't think this has been mentioned yet...

Did all the girls here aged between about 22 - 35 realise that Boyz II Men are coming to NZ? There is an Auckland and Wellington show (sept 17! MFC!)

I just dug out my copies of their first two albums... I'm totally... excited beyond any other tour news (I saw Bright Eyes and REM twice this year but I think we have a new winner!)...

So many memories...

We don't even talk anymoooooore... And we don't even know what we AH!-gue about!

Tee hee!!!

Forums: The Bar,

I noticed that. I also noticed that Mystery Girl is bringing the Montain Goats over next month. I have not heard their stuff but I have read reviews of their stuff, which really is the same thing. It allows me to have an opinion without having to actually have an opinion. The reviews have been nothing but good stuff, ergo I think they are good stuff. (throw a 'concordantly' in there somewhere, if you like)

You're missing my point.

BOYZ-II-MEN!

Oh Lord... the 11/12 year old girl I once was would track down and kill the 25 year old girl I will be at the time of this show if I don't go.

I think I just wet myself...... ....

scuse me...

Oh yeah and remember:

It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday...

In the still of the night
promise I'll never let you go
boom bah doobey wah
bada dum boodah ooey wah

I've listened to I'll Make Love To You roughly 10 times in the past hour.

BABY TONIGHT! IS THE NIGHT! AND I WILL DO YOU RIIIIIGHT!

it's all very well going back to your childhood everyonce in a while, nothing wrong with a bit of reminiscence, but i was thinking, if i went to see the bands i liked at 11 or 12, i would have so been at the Green Day concert recently, and if Hootie and the Blowfish (a.k.a Secret Shame) ever came here, i would have gone to see them too. in reality i wouldn't be seen dead at either of those shows...

I'm not out to impress anyone so I don't really give a shit...

However, when booking my tickets this morning, I did it at work.. and because I whispered the name of the concert I had to repeat myself 3 times...

Of course, straight after I hung up I shrieked in delight and told everyone. Jealous girl stares followed.

I too find that when I do something I'm really embarrassed about I have to immediately tell everyone avout it straight away.

Your continued Boys II Men postings are making me remember middle school dances and sitting by myself on the bleachers cos no one asked me to dance. Waah.

i'm only embarrassed because of the reactions my excitement has caused...

such as

"you are joking, right?"

i'm deadly.. deadly serious.

*giggles INSANNNNNNELY*

/If I went to see the bands I liked at 11 or 12/
Oh dear, oh dear. That would be Rod Stewart, and Elton John. Jon can call me patronising if he likes, but I tell you what, there's nothing that makes me feel quite so ancient as when the bands of peoples' youth were popular a nanosecond ago.

//I'm not out to impress anyone so I don't really give a shit...

it's not even that, i'm long past the shame of liking crap music - the problem is now i honestly can't stand many of the bands i used to like, and wouldn't pay to endure an hour or 2 of their music whether my inner child wanted to or not...

Well, sadly for me and my taste in music, Boyz II Men still fire up my excitement motor. I haven't listened to them since 3rd form, yet I still remember all the words and .. it's a beautiful thing

the mountain goats are good, stefan.

They'll be here when NZ Idol will be reaching its frenzied peak. Excellent timing.
