Ok lets be a little realistic bout nzmusic.com, people come here a lot of hte time to argue and bitch and moan about shit. Sometimes they are here for other reasons but most of thetime Sam they are here cause they are working musicians.
I've been far too busy to do much more than put up the occasional spam on this site for a while now and in any case I'm not going to get involved in certain foibles of others. I'm not likely to slag off a top nz pop rock act, for a start I've known Ben and Vinnie since I was 13 and while I don't want to paint a picture of myself hanging with them at bbqs etc I have a hell of a lot of respect for them as musicians and as people. I'm not going to self hype my own band as others do cause I'd rather others do the hyping. I'd rather be busy gigging, practicing and recording anyway as there is only so many useful hours in the day once working, eating, sleeping are taken into account. I'd hate to be tarred with the same brush as others in my absence on account of their behaviour.
You I see have been quite prolific though. I wonder Sam where you get the time to practice and write songs and stuff. Between slagging off others for being a better musician than you, or purporting to be a better musician than you (and apparently everyone else in the waikato- who am I to judge?), or those who are silly enough to set themselves up for a tall poppying, or those whose ability to have a successful career in something not indie enough for your tastes, and lets face it if something with said indie cred broke through to mass audiences you would be the lonely little figure decrying joe public as feeble minded and said band as a shower of wankers for selling out, while many others would be happily enjoying the ride, you must not have a lot of time to finetune your skills gained at Otago.
Sam you come across as a bitter old spinster in a room full of swingers. You'd love to join the party but you realize the boat is leaving the dock and you aren't on it. how you would seriously love to get laid but as it ain't going to happen you'd rather turn your nose up at the kids climbing aboard the love boat and put in down as immoral. There ain't nothing bout style in your argument Sam it is all about sour grapes.

Sam put up or shut up you little asshole. If you spent as much time trying to put a band together as you do bitching bout others you might be doing something worthwhile. As it is right now you are just one ugly little motherfucker of a wallflower.
