Chat room for NZM

How about a chat room?

Would be great to come online and chat with other NZMers in real time rather than only being able to post. There'd be a lot of love in the room.

How does everybody else feel about this?

Like cleanie said in the other thread, a public room where we don't need to sign up, and it's actually easy to use so people come in, would be good.

Not sure it's on the list of priorities for NZM so we might need to look at other possibilities.

obviously you have to have an IRC client, but thats far better than web chat really....and it saves a lot of bandwidth. . .

I'm pretty sure that if you do want a chat room you will have to sort it for yourselves, the best idea is for someone who knows how to set up a room and give us directions....... it would be betterer if it wasn't irc, as quite a few people back in the day of "old chat" had problems driving it, althought it was seen by some as a way of idiot filtering.... and saddly to say you do need an idiot filter.
