Good opportunity to score some free, legal MP3s

Hey, found a legit download site that offers 50 free MP3s as a trial offer. I think they were one of the first pay-to-download sites - I can remember discussion about them on a mailing list for electronic music which I was on last century.

Has lots of contemporary indie, which seems to be what a lot of regular posters are interested in. Entire albums by Bloc Party, Interpol, Decemberists, M Ward, Pixies, Neutral Milk Hotel, etc. but a huge range of other stuff from disco hits to Creedence Clearwater Revival to contemporary composers like Iannis Xenakis. Even The Game, at least in a Chopped & Screwed version. Funniest name for a subgenre ever. :D Not to mention Lena O's favourites, Big Star.

It's one of those services where you have to have a credit card, which they will charge if you don't remember to unsubscribe again.

Schweet...

I hope other people are taking advantage of this. So many goodies, now I've dug a bit more deeply. Bailter Space, Pixies, solo projects by Wire members, Dizzee Rascal, Ray Charles, Robert Wyatt, etc.

Haha.. I sound like I'm pimping it, I'm just excited!

Looking at my account, I think it is 100 free downloads.

I am in the progress of downloading my first 50. The new Of Montreal, Spoon and The Decemberists. Then kicking it old school with At the Drive-in's In Casino Out.

David Kilgour is even on there.
