Shihad Tour

What did everyone think of Shihad last nite at the Power Station?? Disappointed they didnt play 'you again'?

I'm so tired I cant think of any more to say....

Oh wait... now I can - What did you think of the support acts? I thought Die*3 were good despite technical difficulties. Interesting new songs... I'm looking foward to hearing their new album. Kora(?) were cool and went down well but that cog band were nu metal/tool rip off shite... their inclusion on the lineup reeked of industry politics. Are Shihad and cog on the same label?

Forums: NZ Music,

What was the turn out like ?

good, probably around 7-800. comfortable without being cramped.

I heard CHCH Town Hall is sold out?

cog have their own label but have just released a new album so im sure were keen to get on the bill to promote it... shame you didnt like them live, the new record is solid (albiet a little too tool-influenced, but using the same producer who did 'undertow' its a bit inevitable) and i wouldve liked to have seen them live. for a shihad gig i'd say die die die, kora and them would be a wicked support lineup. couldve been a lot worse

I'm with you on Cog call.
Kora just move from strength to strength & its a pity Hamilton will miss them.
Die Die Die were electric & full of antix.. but really were tanty pissants in comparison to say.. Shihad.
A bit harsh I know, but I haven't tuned my guitar & we only got in a few days a go. blah blah
Cog were good for one song but were a lull & a great time to escape for a top up.
Shihad fukn ruled !!. & I'd go & see them again tonight if it wasn't so fukn expensive.

A great night at the Powerstation, I had a quiet chuckle when some chap called Greg pointed out that his name was still scratched on the toilet wall. Nice One fella.

What was Shihads set? suppose i shud chech shihad.com 1st . . .

the powerstation is such a great rock venue, it always reminds me of some AC/DC video that i can't remember.

die die die are at their best when things go wrong.

Cog are fucking weak, and their sound guy is an amature.

Shihad are playing really well at the moment, every song sounded humoungus. I'm glad they played lots of the new stuff and nothing from Killjoy, there wasn't really any need because the new songs are heavier. it was a great setlist, mixed up really well, not so predictable as such.
Toogoods vocals were solid right through untill the last song errrr. Madonna and Karl were tight as, and Phill Knight is just a fucking legend.

la la land was the one song that didn't get played that was on the setlist. still 17 songs pretty fucking good effort id say.

I got all welled up with tears when they said that they were going to play 'Deb's Night Out' tonight. It was a very very welcome very pleasant suprise.

I'm so glad that I decided to head down to Wellington for Saturday night's show. It was easily the best Shihad performance I've seen to date, and going by what my mates in the other centres have said (especially the ones I left behind in Auckland), Welly's been the highlight of the tour so far. Suffice to say, I had one hell of a birthday down there on the 9th.

Dunedin was epic. First 3 songs I saw from sounddesk absolutely blew me away. It was like Motorhead twisted into ACDC at their peak. Amazing and kinda suprising. Wellington was BIG, CHCH was good and scarey with Peter Campbell crushing his spine. But Dunners was the one!

good, then I glad I went to the dunners one!!
