the rock.... a few too many ads and i hate most of the presenters but they are probably the lesser of the evils. they play quite a bit of nz music too which is a good thing

there's no perfect radio station. It's odd how most of us just listen to one though. it's not like we only watch one tv channel.

I usually listen to CDs more than radio, because Auckland itself is a radio wasteland. In one camp we have repetitive teen hits stations (Mai, ZM and Channel Z - yes, it's BAD) or ultra-cool "dance culture" stations (George) and then egotistical "oh so hip" student radio (bFM which has taken a major step back from previous years, when they actually played guitar music). Then we have the Rock (provincial wankers stationed in Auckland), Classic Hits and Easy Listening (self-explanatory) and Hauraki (has gotten a bit better recently). Then there's Cool Blue, which I happen to like (they play a nice variety of blues, folk and jazz). Nick Bollinger's "The Sampler" on National Radio is probably the best thing on radio at the moment.

I used to think that Channel Z was the best. That was in the good ol days wen Cam was on nites and Midday Matty was on during the day. Since Bomber has Come on nites, I've stopped listening. I can't stand him. As soon as I hear his voice I have to turn it off. I reeally dont like him!!!!!! I like Channel Z wen Bomber isnt on, since he's been on, I've been listening to my cd's heaps more!!

the rock for me although *sometimes* channel z. i love how the rock has things like no repeat and double shot. just little things that add some flavour to the day. hard and heavy on bfm is pretty good, but i usually forget to listen to it
