i have some tracks i recorded on garageband, but myspace wont let me upload them because they arnt saved as .mp3 does anyone know how to convert the garageband tracks to mp3, i cant figure out how.
because its likely someone has written a converter, or there may be an option to save to .mp3 directly from garageband ... i've never used the software myself....
I haven't used Garageband, but I do use Logic which is what garageband is based on.
When you bounce your tracks down to a stereo mix there may be an option in the dialogue box to bounce it as an MP3. If not put your mix file into iTunes and in the Advanced menu is an option Convert to(MP3, Aif, Wav) this option changes depending on what your import settings are in the preferences (in the edit menu). So if it says convert to aif, then go to the preferences and change the import encoder to MP3 and set your bit-rate there. Then when you select covert to MP3 a dialogue box will ask you to select a file, just select your mix and Voila.
