Does any one know the name of the realy big op shop in porirua, the one where you only pay for a pink plastic bag then you fill as much as you can in them, it was back in the 90s when we used to go out there so it might not even be there anyomore! A name wopuld be great =)

it's not trash palace, just had a look at their web site, the op shop I'm talking about was huge, and they only had clothes, plus it seemed like there were only Samoan ladys working there putting the clothes onto big tables. I remember we always had to drives out to the dark side of cannons creek to get there!

Vincent De paul In cannons Creek is still pretty good..most stuff is $1. Not worth the cannons creek mission like Mr Big Jumble swas in the day
They used to just pour the clothing bin ...
They used to just pour the clothing bin bags onto the tables and you could rummage through and pull out stuff....oh...the good ol' days. Used to wag school all the time to go there.
Now they sort everything and put it on racks and charge things individually and are part of a big chain of "op shops" throughout the country which usually tend to all suck.

Like i said...haha, They are called "Save mart" and they are in exactly the same warehouse...just with a flash white and red paint job. Seriously though, its depressing to go. I almost broke down in tears when i missioned back their one day and discovered it was replaced by this hideous monstrosity and then I went to my favourite fish and chip shop where you used to be able to get 1 fish, hot dog, chips, 2 potato fritters, donut and a drink for $5!! and that was gone and replaced by some flash new F&C shop that was almost twice as expensive. What a sad day.
